Prior to founding SharedInk, LLC, Chris co-founded Viathan Corporation, where he was
instrumental in helping the company to raise over $24 million in financing from
top-tier venture capital firms. As co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Chris
was responsible for technical strategy, product architecture, and management of all
development and test processes. Chris was also responsible for leading strategic
relationships with EMC, Veritas, Network Appliance and other leading storage
companies. Chris was awarded patent #6,523,036 by the United States Patent and
Trademark Office for his work on a highly scalable and fault tolerant database
system; a second patent application is pending. Viathan Corporation was acquired
in 2001.
Previously, Chris was employed by Microsoft Corporation in the Interactive Media
Group where he developed core Internet technologies for the Microsoft
Network. Chris was a lead server developer responsible for design, architecture
and implementation of a fast, reliable and highly scalable storage system for
Web-scale applications, which has been awarded three patents (#6,393,466,
#6,523,130 and #6,564,252) by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
While at Microsoft, he helped ship two versions of the Microsoft Network.
